Spring in Seoul

Wow.... practically had to blow the dust off the keys and claw away the spiderwebs before posting this entry here. It's really been a while since i last posted here. Well, here's my update about what things have been like here. I don't want a long rambling post, and most of you already know this stuff if we are close... so i'll keep it short.

-finished my old contract at my previous job. Ended well, but was ready to move on to bigger things.

-started my new job, working at a private elementary school. I love it.

- moved into the central foreigner area here in Seoul rather than the south area. House rather than apartement. It's great, we love it.

-CATS! Meet our kittens, Necro and Thulu.

So, winter is finaly over here in Seoul. I went rollerblading the weekend before last. The air was warm, and even if it was cloudy it felt so good to be out again. I hadn't been rollerblading in over a year, and god, it felt good. I stopped and rested a bit beside the Han river, and saw sailboats. Thought of you, Dad. Maybe we'll go sailing when you come visit? I don't know if you can rent them.

The cherry tree is in my neighborhood, near the busstop. The river picture is a view of part of downtown Seoul and the Han river.

Cute students

Wow. It's been a really long time since i posted here. I have been putting most of my time into my art blog, which details my jewelry. I know this bores most of you to tears, which is why i have two blogs. However, if some of you have changed your mind or didn't get the link, my art blog is at www.meisterdalediane.blogspot.com

Things are fine here in Seoul. Teaching is going much better now that the hours have lowered from ridiculous (9-7:30 monday to friday, and sometimes working saturdays) to difficult (9-6 MWF, 9-7:T Th, no weekends). The pay went down slightly, but i just didn't care.

I really love my kids. The kids are really high level, and even my lowest kindies can hold conversations in english. My parents were just visiting last weekend, and I showed my mom the school on monday. She was suitably impressed.

I will be trying to continue to post more as time goes on. As I leave you after this rather short post, I leave you with pictures of grade two students in moustaches. Oh R2 class, you are my favorite. You're just too too cute. The front girl in the yellow shirt is Dallae, and the serious(ish) boy beside her is Dong Gun.
